The Billiard Room

NHI were commissioned to design and refurbish the traditional panelled room to a contemporary cocktail bar. The feature chandeliers were made specially for the project created in Murano glass in individual orange and gold twisted fronds.

The existing panelling was retained and refurbished with the addition of a new horizontal striped wallpaper. Farrow and Ball colours were used to paint the ceiling, and the decorative mouldings were picked out with white gold gilding. A new bespoke carved timber archway forms the informal corridor taking guests into the bar and across to the bedrooms. Armchairs and wingchairs were upholstered in cut velvets and leathers with contrast piping details and adorned with decorative cushions.
