The growing success of Nicholas Hollinshead Interiors is due in no small part to the strong team spirit that you find in our offices. Nicholas heads up a team of ten designers, architects, graphic artists, project and site managers and administration staff that ensure the continuation of inspirational interior designs and the smooth running of all our projects. Nicholas Hollinshead and Lucy Merrick are the senior designers at the practice.

Nicholas has over twenty years of experience in hotel and restaurant design. From college where he studied to be a Hotelier, Nicholas spent fifteen years successfully running hotels before turning his hand to designing them. He now oversees every project and his experience as an operator ensures that they are not only aesthetically pleasing but

also logistically practical and durable. His natural flair for creating memorable interiors is demonstrated by the many accolades and awards achieved by the practice.

Lucy graduated from Edinburgh University with a BA Honours Degree in Interior Design and has accumulated over nine years of experience in the field of designing interiors for commercial and leisure properties. Now in her sixth year with Nicholas, Lucy is responsible for the day-to-day management of projects and a small group of junior designers at her disposal. An amazing eye for colour and fabric, coupled with her modern approach to design, Lucy is the perfect partner to Nicholas’ classical style.
